We are seeking young talent for our global AI & Data Center of Excellence (CoE) in Madrid, Spain. As an AI & Data Intern in Madrid’s CoE, you will work on international projects and contribute to the development, incubation, standardization, and promotion of AI & Data solutions globally.

Our Internship program is designed to mentor and develop talented individuals with strong technical potential and strategic thinking capability. During the program, you’ll be able to create and collaborate on AI & Data projects that challenge and inspire you. You will work on internal or customer-facing initiatives, with exposure to the following technical areas:

Development of advanced analytics and machine learning/deep learning models

Implementation of data engineering pipelines

Integration of AI & Data ecosystem software

Implementation of MLOps practices and tools

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the delivery of assigned tasks within the project lifecycle. Understand the company's technologies in order to deliver part of a detailed technical design that meets customer requirements.

Works under the supervision of technical lead and with customer-nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.

Resolve most technical assignments or issues independently within your technical area. Work with team members to resolve more complex or cross-technology assignments or issues.

Begin to proactively and reactively provide solutions to prevent problems from occurring in the area of responsibility.

Participates as part of a team and develops and grows good relationships with team members and customers in assigned projects.

Understand the company's strategy.

Is aware of knowledge tools and their application.

Participates in chosen technical community or profession and regularly attends professional or community of interest events.

Maintain technical knowledge updated. Should be able to learn new technologies in a short period.

Education and Experience Required:

Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s/Master’s program pursuing a degree in Computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related areas of study.

Undertaking a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence or Big Data would be beneficial.

Spanish native and fluent in English.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, Java, C, Unix Shell scripting.

Conceptual understanding of Information Technology (IT) environments.

Passion for new and emerging AI and Data technologies and ability to keep updated on technological innovations and new releases.

Willingness to participate in international projects.

Active listening skills and ability to adjust messages to audience level.

Communicate effectively to technical level and first-level management within an organization. Able to communicate concepts with team and to peers.

Problem-solving skills (proactive, reactive, and creative). Ability to identify alternatives, set priorities, and identify solutions.

Able to produce basic documentation to required standards.

Demonstrates understanding of assigned discipline or technical area.

Proactivity, initiative, and willingness to learn and work. Interest in developing a career in this environment.

Teamwork skills. Autonomy and ability to organize and manage own work.
