Job Summary

The Sub-AMP Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of facility operations and maintenance within a specific Area Management Plan (AMP). This role ensures efficient planning, design, construction, allocation of resources, and the resolution of customer inquiries related to facility operations. The Sub-AMP Manager implements policies and procedures, supervises team members, and ensures compliance with organizational and industry standards. With a strong focus on delivering high-quality service, the manager drives operational efficiency and fosters effective collaboration among team members and stakeholders. This position requires advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex assignments independently.

Roles and Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and resolve customer requests and inquiries related to facility operations, including planning, design, and construction.

Oversee facility services such as office allocations, furniture arrangements, food services, janitorial services, landscaping, and repair or maintenance activities.

Manage office service functions, including mail services, forms management, reprographics, and office supply coordination.

Apply and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices to support facilities management and office services.

Supervise and review team performance, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within assigned functions.

Perform complex assignments, utilizing judgment and precedent to achieve defined outcomes.

Allocate tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members, fostering their development.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align facility operations with organizational objectives.

Ensure timely execution and completion of all facility operations and services-related projects.

Monitor budgets and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Basic Qualifications

A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in facilities operations, maintenance, or a related field.

Completion of an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.

Demonstrated expertise in facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance management.

Experience with supervision and allocation of work within specialized functions.

Completion of AFIT WMGT 131, WMGT 301, and WMGT 417 courses (or equivalent certifications).

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.

Proven track record in budget management and resource allocation for facility operations.

Familiarity with industry-standard software tools for facilities and office service management.
