Program Summary

The program provides comprehensive logistics, facilities management, and airfield operations, enabling vital global communications, defense readiness, and aerospace operations for U.S. and allied forces. With a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals, the program has a proven track record of operational excellence and industry compliance, maintaining infrastructure and services vital to mission success. Located in the South Atlantic Ocean, Ascension Island operations play a pivotal role in sustaining international defense and scientific endeavors. 

Job Summary 

The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by enforcing security procedures and protocols. This includes monitoring access to restricted areas, conducting security inspections, and ensuring the protection of property and personnel. The officer will be required to respond to security breaches, assist in emergency situations, and provide general security for the premises. The Security Officer will work as part of a team and must be able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision. Regular reporting on security activities and adherence to safety standards will be expected.

Roles and Responsibilities  

Patrol designated areas to ensure the security of buildings, personnel, and assets. 

Monitor and control access to restricted areas and enforce security protocols for employees and visitors. 

Respond promptly to alarms, security incidents, and emergencies, and provide appropriate actions as per protocol. 

Conduct regular security inspections of premises to identify potential risks or violations. 

Ensure that security systems, including cameras and alarms, are operational and report any malfunctions. 

Provide clear and accurate documentation of daily activities, security events, and incidents. 

Assist with crowd control and direct individuals during emergency evacuations or security breaches. 

Monitor security-related communication and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel. 

Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary. 

Provide customer service and assistance to personnel and visitors while maintaining security protocols. 

Basic Qualifications  

High school diploma or equivalent. 

Active secret or interim secret security clearance or ability to obtain. 

Valid driver's license and ability to operate security vehicles as needed. 

Minimum of one year of experience in security or a related field, or completion of a relevant security training program. 

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience in access control systems, security cameras, and alarm systems. 

First Aid/CPR certification or other relevant safety training. 

Military, law enforcement, or other security-related background.
