Job Summary
The Airfield Management Operations Manager (AMOM) oversees airfield management operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. Air Force (USAF) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) standards. This position requires managing airfield activities, personnel, and safety procedures, while ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to regulations. The AMOM coordinates with various stakeholders to support airfield operations, sustain infrastructure, and respond to emergencies effectively. The ideal candidate will leverage technical expertise in airfield management and leadership skills to guide a high-performing team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities are essential to maintain a safe and efficient airfield environment.

Roles and Responsibilities
Supervise and manage airfield operations, including personnel, equipment, and compliance with USAF and FAA standards.
Ensure airfield inspections are conducted regularly to maintain safety, operational efficiency, and regulatory adherence.
Coordinate with air traffic control, pilots, and ground operations teams to manage controlled movement area (CMA) access and activities.
Oversee the implementation of airfield management policies, procedures, and training programs.
Maintain accurate documentation and reports, including airfield activity logs and incident reports.
Respond to airfield emergencies and lead coordination efforts during crisis situations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate hazards within the airfield environment.
Serve as the primary liaison between airfield management and external agencies, including military, civilian, and contractor entities.
Lead the development and execution of contingency plans for adverse weather, equipment failures, or security incidents.
Manage airfield infrastructure projects in collaboration with engineering and maintenance teams.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Airfield Management Operations Supervisor (AMOS) or Shift Lead (AMSL) roles.
Possess a USAF AMSL/AMOS certification or equivalent education and experience aligned with the Airfield Management Operations Coordinator (AMOC) and AMSL/AMOS Position Certification Guide (PCG).
Comprehensive knowledge of tasks outlined in the 1C7 Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP) and AFMAN 13-204 Volumes 1 & 2.
Controlled Movement Area (CMA) driver's certification.
Able to hold Secret Level Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the Advanced Airfield Managers (AAFM) course.
Experience managing airfield operations at both military and civilian airfields.
Familiarity with aircraft maintenance programs and FAA regulations.
