Job Summary:
The AI Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced artificial intelligence solutions to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of AI technologies, machine learning algorithms, data science principles, cloud and database infrastructure. Deep understanding of databases, security, DevOps, MLOps, and hands-on experience in designing AI-driven architectures. The AI Architect will work closely with various departments, including data engineering, product management, and software development, to deploy scalable AI systems across the organization.
The Opportunity:
Responsible for the innovation strategy and technology roadmap for HPE Hybrid Cloud, overseeing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation GreenLake cloud platform. By collaborating closely with customers, we help them redefine their IT needs, delivering a streamlined, consumable solution that empowers them to achieve impactful business outcomes. Develops and programs integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze and leverage structured and unstructured data in product and systems applications. Can work with large scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems, and modeling environments. Uses machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to improve product/system performance, data management, quality, and accuracy. Formulates descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights/algorithms and translates technical specifications into code. Applies, optimizes and scales deep learning technologies and algorithms to give computers the capability to visualize, learn and respond to complex situations. Documents procedures for installation and maintenance, completes programming, performs testing and debugging, defines and monitors performance metrics. AI/ML products, solutions, and systems improvement projects.

Education and Experience Required:
15+ years of relevant experience in the industry delivering technical and business strategy at an advanced/strategist level.
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent
Strong understanding of the current state of AI solutions & Cloud infrastructure
Proven experience driving new innovations across AI & Cloud Infrastructure technologies, and the productization of advanced development activities
Must have a track record of architecting, building and deploying mission critical, highly distributed, AI applications and solutions
Must have experience with at least one major IaaS and/or PaaS technology (OpenStack, AWS, Azure, VMWare, VMware Cloud Foundation, etc.) including defining and scripting full topologies
Must be able to work in a global, complex and diverse environment.
Knowledge and Skills:
Lead advanced development teams building proof-of-concept implementations of new Hybrid Cloud and AI solutions
Work with AI and Cloud Infrastructure architects to design and set standards for the HPE Greenlake’s Hybrid Cloud Platform and solution portfolio
Drive evaluation of different AI solutions and conduct research on the platform behavior under different workloads
Effective technical leadership skills to influence diverse groups to move toward common goals / strategies
Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the most senior organizational levels within internal and external organizations
Flexible consultative skills to handle a diverse set of activities daily and adaptable to drive ever-changing priorities
Understand design patterns, domain-driven design, component-based architecture, and evolutionary architecture
Understand cloud-native architecture concepts and have knowledge of best practices for high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and security requirements in the cloud
Act as a cross-functional product and technical expert for the intersection of hybrid cloud and AI technology/architectures within engineering with close working relationships with customers, product management, support, and marketing supporting the Hybrid Cloud portfolio
Provides consultation, design input, and feedback for product development and design reviews across multiple organizations and architectures
Help transition proof-of-concept implementations into R&D teams to accelerate new product delivery
Creates technical content such as designs, specifications, and initial software implementations
Guides and mentors less-experienced staff members to set an example of software systems design and development innovation and excellence, helping to grow engineers into more senior technical roles
Collect product feedback from field interactions in order to provide input into Engineering and Product Management to influence product roadmap direction
Maintain a high level of knowledge of HPE products and product road maps, as well as that of the competition and prospective strategic partners
Must have strong knowledge of application failure modes, resiliency patterns, and techniques to enable robust, self-healing architecture.
Effective technical leadership skills to influence diverse groups to move toward common goals
