Agricultural Assistant I

Job Description: Performs tasks as assigned to carry out field experiments. Includes ground preparation, planting, plot maintenance, harvesting and grading, and insect and disease scouting. Assists with event programming. This includes set-up and breakdown, coordination of trolleys and parking, and managing transportation of necessary equipment and materials (chairs and tables, etc.) to off-site events. Driving to events will be required. Assists in irrigation installation, maintenance, and repair. Performs efficient and safe operation and routine maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment. Handles unloading and log-in of deliveries (forklift). Follows instructions and performs other duties as assigned. Expected Salary:

$16.88 per hour.

Preferred Qualifications:

Driver's license.
Obtain forklift certification within 6 months of hire.
