Agile Scrum Master

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Agile Scrum Master’s role is responsible for facilitating the Scrum process and ensuring that the team follows the principles and values of Scrum. The Scrum Master's primary goal is to remove impediments, facilitate communication, and enable the team to work efficiently and effectively. The Scrum Master should have at least five years of experience of software or data engineering development and deployment using Agile methods. Major responsibilities and duties include: 

Facilitate Scrum Events: The Scrum Master facilitates Scrum events such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective, ensuring that they are conducted according to Scrum principles and that the team is prepared.Remove Impediments: The Scrum Master identifies and removes impediments that block the team's progress, such as dependencies, lack of resources, or unclear requirements.Coach and Mentor: The Scrum Master coaches and mentors the team on Scrum principles, practices, and values, helping them to improve their skills and knowledge.Protect the Team: The Scrum Master protects the team from external distractions, interruptions, and disruptions, allowing them to focus on their work.Ensure Scrum Framework: The Scrum Master ensures that the team follows the Scrum framework, including the roles, events, and artifacts, and that the team is adhering to Scrum principles and values.Data Model: Understand and appropriately task the technical team to ensure that the enterprise-wide data model is designed, implemented, and continuously improved. An enterprise data model is a visual and metadata representation of an organization's data, describing how data entities and the business processes that create them relate to one another. It defines the structure, relationships, and constraints of data and business processes, including entities, attributes, metadata, and data types. Data models help ensure data consistency, reduce data redundancy, and improve data integrity, making it easier to design, implement, and manage databases and improve CCMD and JDIR processes with data.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer in computer science or related field of study.

Experience: This position requires a minimum of five years’ experience with servicing as a Scrum Master. Environment Specific Experience: the Scrum Master must have previous experience with industry standard appropriate digital tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.

Certification: Maintain the current version of at least one of the following Scaled Agile Framework certifications: SAFe Practice Consultant, SAFe Practice Consultant Trainer, Advanced SPC, Agile Product Manager, or Product Owner / Product Manager. If the Agile Product Owner does not have this certification at the time he or she is identified it, then he or she must obtain it no later than 30 days following arrival to the primary place of performance.

Additional Requirements: Candidate must meet Germany TESA requirements as follows:

Germany:

A Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of recent specialized experience; orAssociates Degree and seven (7) years of recent specialized experience; orNo degree and 11 years or recent specialized experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $140,250 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
