**Afternoon Warehouse Supervisor** Salary: 80-90k/ | Mississauga, ON **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Afternoon Warehouse Supervisor to oversee a team of 20-25 warehouse associates for an aftermarket automotive parts distributor. The supervisor will delegate tasks, provide training and coaching, and implement corrective actions to resolve day-to-day operational issues. Working closely with the warehouse manager, you will plan and execute daily operations, set goals for the team, and address internal issues, including health and safety concerns. We seek a proactive thinker who can offer ideas to improve warehouse operations. **Responsibilities** + Supervise a team of unionized warehouse employees, including delegation of tasks, training, coaching, and directing corrective action. + Plan, communicate, and execute daily shift work plans based on daily priorities, equipment availability, and space utilization. + Continuously monitor warehouse performance through KPIs with a primary focus on cost controls. + Communicate daily with Distribution Manager and Warehouse Manager regarding shift targets, issues, and provide daily production reports. + Maintain accurate inventory counts and conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment. + Ensure all orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner, including investigating lost or damaged shipments. + Recommend improvements in work procedures to enhance productivity, safety, quality, and efficiency. + Plan warehouse layout and space requirements to prevent loss or damage and achieve full warehouse optimization. + Enforce policies regarding security and safety to maintain a safe working environment. + Apply, record, and document discipline fairly and consistently as per the collective bargaining agreement. + Collaborate with Human Resources on labor relations issues. **Essential Skills** + 5-7 years of experience supervising teams of 15+ people. + Experience working in a unionized environment. + Strong verbal communication skills. + Experience scheduling shifts and delegating tasks. + Effective problem-solving skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong Microsoft Excel experience. + Experience in an automotive warehouse. + Familiarity with SAP and warehouse management systems. + Experience with shipping and logistics. **Why Work Here?** + Direct hire + Long-term and full-time opportunity + Room for growth and advancement + Full health and dental benefits + RRSP match up to 4% + Bonuses **Work Environment** The role is based in a 150,000 square foot outbound warehouse with 80 employees per shift. The warehouse stores prepped parts for delivery to wholesalers and clients, featuring 20-foot racks with Raymond reach equipment.
