Afternoon Maintenance Tech
Overview The Afternoon Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall functionality, cleanliness, and safety of the hotel property during the afternoon and evening hours. This role involves performing a variety of general maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities, addressing guest service requests, and troubleshooting any issues that arise with hotel systems and equipment. Responsibilities General Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and appliances. Repairs & Troubleshooting: Address maintenance requests, repair equipment, and troubleshoot issues that arise with hotel infrastructure (lighting, plumbing, furniture, etc.). Guest Requests: Respond to guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction. Preventative Maintenance: Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance checks and ensure that hotel systems are functioning efficiently. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, building codes, and hotel policies. Maintain proper safety signage and equipment. Record Keeping: Document all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections accurately in maintenance logs and reporting systems. Collaboration: Work closely with the morning shift maintenance team and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations and timely communication on maintenance issues. Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs and address urgent issues that may arise, including water leaks, electrical failures, and equipment malfunctions. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies. Order materials as needed and ensure proper storage and usage. Facility Upkeep: Assist with the general upkeep of both interior and exterior areas of the hotel, including landscaping, lighting, and signage. Qualifications Recommended six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPO, HVAC Certification, Electrician prefered but not required. Valid driver’s license required.
