The QA Auditor-Aerospace is responsible for delivering BSI’s audit services to assigned clients in accordance with all BSI, scheme and regulatory requirements to assure timely, cost effective service delivery that assures satisfaction of our customer needs. The individual will conduct various types of audits. The ideal candidate will have audit experience in and AS9100D. AEA authentication or AATT training certificate preferred.

*This is a remote position with extensive travel (100%) . Must live by a major airport with ability to travel weekly to clients.

Essential Responsibilities:

AS9100 and ISO9001 audit delivery to our clients in support of 3rd party certificationTime served in an aviation, space and/or defence industry.Responsible for attending any required training and following all procedures/processes/policies within BSI for management of clients, management of a home-based office, use of BSI equipment and communication both internal and external to the organizationResponsible for following the training plan developed by the Aerospace Service Delivery Director to reach assessor status and then Lead assessor status through the proscribed program (based on the knowledge, skills and experience they have as well as the requirements of the appropriate schemes)Participate in additional training based on future business needsResponsible for managing a portfolio of assigned clients based on location and a match of qualifications and client contract requirementsResponsible for contacting clients and scheduling the visits, planning the assessments, making travel plans, conducting the assessments, reporting and managing the resultsResponsible for monitoring the client accounts to ensure that records, visit cycle, invoicing and other related matters are properly dealt with to assure client satisfaction is maintainedWillingness to adapt to changing travel schedules or unexpected changes in plans.Any other assignments as needed to meet assessment delivery business objectives

Education/Qualifications:

College degree AA or higher (or equivalent certification or work experience) AS9100 AEA Lead Auditor or AATT course completion preferredAS9100D Lead Auditor Training Knowledge of management systems and auditing practicesKnowledge of general office practices, information systems, documentation systems, and technology including computersKnowledge of the specific products and processes and organizational structure of the clientKnowledge of the outcomes of prior audit activities of the clientKnowledge of competences of the audit team members for the clientCan demonstrate passion for the business and can inspire othersHave integrity, ensuring that business is conducted in an ethical mannerHave commercial focus, understanding customers’ needs and adding value Communication and Time Management skills

What we offer:

The salary for this position can range from $95,200.00 to 123,860.00 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons
