Job Summary: The Aerospace Supply Chain Quality Director is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS) across the Parker Aerospace supply chain. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a Zero Defect culture at suppliers. The director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize and optimize processes, reduce defects, and enhance supplier quality performance. Key Responsibilities: + Quality Management Systems: + Implement and maintain the Aerospace Quality Management System (QMS) across the supply chain. + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, etc.). + Supplier Quality Assurance: + In coordination with Aerospace divisions, establish and manage supplier quality programs, including audits, assessments, and performance evaluations. + Collaborate with Aerospace Group and division Supply Chain teams to select and develop high-quality suppliers. + Establish and maintain work transfer quality processes and measures. + Collaborate with Supply Chain to create a Preferred Supplier plan to establish hierarchy and credential maintenance. + In collaboration with the Aerospace divisions standardize the implementation of key supplier management processes to promote a “One Parker” supplier experience. + Continuous Improvement: + Lead initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving product quality, and enhancing operational efficiency at key suppliers. + Utilize methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Root Cause Analysis to drive improvements. + Data Analysis and Reporting: + Develop and implement metrics to identify quality risk at suppliers and deliver supplier quality scorecards + Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement. + Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance to senior management. + Issue Management: + In coordination with divisions, lead investigations of supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. + Enterprise Synergy: + Capture best practices and implement across AAG creating a uniform experience for supply base + Devise risk management strategies for suppliers of various capabilities and implement delegated authority as appropriate. + Team Leadership: + Mentor Aerospace supplier quality assurance team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. + Provide guidance on best practices in quality management and problem-solving techniques JOB REQUIREMENTS: + Ten or more years of major professional accomplishments including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity for seven or more years. Demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results. + Knowledge of the product(s) and manufacturing operations that would typically be obtained through a bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing related field, or engineering, and progressive career experience. An M.B.A., an advanced technical degree, or professional designation may be preferred. + Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change. + Current knowledge of the latest manufacturing technology, productivity and quality measurements, and material/planning systems requiring continual review of methods to optimize productivity. + Travel required up 25%-50% We offer a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $153,052-$210,456-$267,860.
