The Aero Process Quality Engineer will work with GTS Aero Operations Strategy Execution Leader to select and qualify new Aero repair processes and suppliers managing planning, qualifications steps execution, assuring that all Baker Hughes standard processes and procedures are correctly applied, aligned to Aero requirements.

As Aero Process Quality Engineer you will be responsible for :

supplier qualifications, action plans, pre-auditsLeading and managing the technical assessment of the capability of repair sources, supported by Repair Engineer and Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (in case of Special Process involved) according to qualification process described on BH GTS procedure.Managing  eSQM system to open and close all qualification process as per BH GTS procedures including time line managing as agreed with Aero Operations Strategy Execution Leader.Understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendorsAdvising Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own fieldSupporting performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence;

To be successful in this role you will have :

Bachelor's mechanical degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Manufacturing/Service)Al least 5 years of experience in a Quality or Sourcing RolesProven ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams.Good project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Be able to travel locally and internationally at short notice to customer offices or site plantsFluent written and spoken English

Aeroderivative technology knowledgeSignificant knowledge or experience with special processes (welding, brazing, coating, heat treatment, destructive & nondestructive testing, etc)5+ year of relevant experience in a Services industryKnowledge of the principles of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (an asset)Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.Effective problem identification and solution skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proven analytical and organizational abilityStrong computer and systems skills including Microsoft office and PowerPoint
