The Investment Solutions team within Baird Private Wealth Management (PWM) plays a key role in ensuring that Baird Financial Advisors have the tools and capabilities across the investment, lending, and liquidity platforms necessary for delivering great outcomes for our clients.  Advisory Solutions is one of the most strategically important segments within Baird representing 61% of Baird’s PWM AUM. 

Advisory Solutions Consultants help develop and execute on the long-term Advisory Solutions initiatives and strategy across our platform.  The candidate that fills this role will partner with internal teams to develop program guidelines and long-term strategy, utilize technology resources, reporting tools, and best practices that will allow Baird Financial Advisors (FAs) to compete in an increasingly competitive business.

By forging strong relationships with Baird Financial Advisors, the Advisory Solutions Consultant will be expected to be a true partner in the delivery of great client outcomes.  This position is designed to gain exposure to all aspects of Baird’s Advisory Solutions FA Directed Programs (discretionary and non-discretionary), including helping FAs manage their business with industry best practices in mind, working with FAs on the creation and review of investment philosophy statements, educating FAs on the use of the advisory trading platform, and idea sharing amongst the growing population of FAs at Baird.  Ideal support includes successful collaboration within the Investment Solutions team and among our home office partners to ensure a cohesive strategy across the platform and proper support of the FAs, many of whom incorporate multiple investment solutions into their business model.

As an Advisory Solutions Consultant, you will:

Work with Baird FAs in the navigation and understanding of the FA Directed Advisory Programs.Educate on the platform and represent Baird to Financial Advisors new or transitioning to Baird.Serve as a subject matter expert to Financial Advisors, Branch Associates, Relationship Managers and to Key Partners on general and complex inquiries on FA Directed Advisory Program platforms.Educate FAs on program best practices.Play a key role in developing, coordinating and executing policy decisions.Work with existing FAs to develop new investment philosophy strategies or modify existing strategies.Partner internally with Legal/Compliance, Operations, Investment Solutions, Marketing & Communications, and other areas as necessary to ensure the consistent application of broader strategic initiatives.Develop and deliver educational content and presentations specific to the FA Directed Advisory Programs.Proactively develop ideas and initiatives to sustainably grow the platform.Proactively seek to enhance internal processes that make the FA Directed Advisory Programs more efficient and scalable.Partner across the home office on issues impacting assigned products and programs.Develop expertise on the entire advisory platform to effectively partner on broader initiatives within Advisory Solutions and to provide more holistic, book-level practice management guidance to the field.

What we look for:

Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in the financial services industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.SIE, Series 7 & 66 licensed required within 12 months of start dateAbility to learn and effectively navigate Baird’s Private Wealth Management technology platformsExceptional client service skills including both written and verbalAbility to make effective presentations across various levels in the organizationStrong computer skills, including proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong organizational skills and follow through skills – ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to build internal and external networks and use resources in the industryAbility to act as a team player, assisting others in the department, when necessary, is mandatory.Possesses a high attention to detailStrong analytical skills
