WSP is currently initiating a search for the **Advisory & Planning (A&P) Cities Initiative Lead.** Be involved in projects with our Advisory & Planning (A&P) Business Line and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Our **A&P Cities Initiative Lead** is responsible for developing and driving top line growth for our Cities Initiative across the A&P business and with our counterparts within the Transportation & Infrastructure, Earth & Environment, Property & Buildings, Power & Energy, and Federal end-markets. The position will primarily focus on positioning WSP as a premier partner to plan and shape sustainable cities of tomorrow. The initiative will sit within A&P but will focus on delivering comprehensive multi-sectoral services in high-priority cities, to capture the “whole-client” across cities.
The A&P Cities Initiative Lead’s activities will be externally focused including the developing and growing of key client relationships, the discovery of opportunities and delivering work across A&P, across all WSP end-markets, and maintaining a strong brand image for WSP in the USA within the industry. Internal responsibilities will focus on collaborating and partnering with all Business Line leadership to strengthen client relationships, drive positioning, teaming, and winning capture plans.
Our ideal candidate is familiar with A&P's capabilities with strong connections to and knowledge about WSP's internal and external clients within each end-market to expand and grow our services across all end-markets. **Your Impact**
+ Act as the US lead and business advisor to the Advisory & Planning team
+ Identify and drive A&P growth in high-priority cities (up to 8) with strong multi-sector growth potential
+ Grow pipeline, revenue and improve hit rates.
+ Capitalize on 10+ years of major events like sports, political and cultural events.
+ Improve profitability through pricing flexibility.
+ Position WSP as top national strategic advisory and planning firm.
+ Influence as a trusted advisor to clients, stakeholders and decision-makers.
+ Oversee our Strategic Advisors and support strategic planning in business development and client engagement
+ Support pursuits of high-profile projects and programs with organizational development, program delivery strategy, and innovative solutions
+ Lead projects in a project management, advisory, or strategic capacity
+ Assist in attracting high-quality talent to the company
+ Stay abreast of industry changes and requirements, policies, procedures, and legislation.
+ Analyze local, state and national trends, policies and/or legislation to determine impact.
+ Advise Internal leadership on new business opportunities within various municipal/City markets and collaborate in the development of strategies to ensure successful growth.
**Who You Are**
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s in planning, engineering, business, or related field
+ Minimum 20 years of infrastructure consulting/management consulting experience, including at least five years of successful experience in developing client relationships and business development
+ Specific expertise in WSP business lines and established relationships with teaming partners and key client decision makers
+ Demonstrated experience leading by influence
+ Experience in leading and winning major strategic pursuits
+ Excellent communication skills (presenting and writing)
+ Organized, self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s Degree
+ Strategic planning experience
**Expected Salary:** $360,000 - $400,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
