You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Zipline, Segway, and SnoGo Bikes. You’ll ensure excellent guest experiences through training our Adventure Activities Team, monitoring safety standards, and of course, taking guests on the experience of a lifetime! Staff all activities listed above which includes: job posting, hiring, training, disciplinary/coaching, separations, weekly staff schedules, accommodating time off requests, vacation time, and leave of absence requests where possible. Develop, implement, and enforce safety and training standards for all activities listed above. Maintain logs and documentation for training, and safety inspections (daily/periodic) on equipment/courses. Manage equipment inventories (i.e., zipline gear, Sno-go, and Segway fleets) and keep them in serviceable condition. Oversee rigging and inspections of wire rope on the zipline course Maintain a professional, guest-friendly presentation of staff, hardware, and facilities. Filling in as Adventure Guide if needed to keep activities on schedule with the following guide responsibilities: Meet, greet, and register guests. Assist and lead participants with gearing up, safety orientation, and general tour information. Guide guests safely through every element of Zip Line Activities; training on Sno-go and/or training and trails on Segway. Communicate and point out items of interest included throughout the tour. Manage risky behavior and maintain control of the tour group at all times. Ensure trails, lines, gear, and equipment are maintained to standards and report any concerns. Develop new ideas and curriculum programming to fit the expanding needs of guests. Assist in the implementation of guest activities with The Highlands Events Team and Group Sales. Contribute to the team effort by participating in Job Sharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and the safety of guests and employees; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; and maintaining a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions. Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years experience in recreation programming Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements. Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours at a time. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Both outdoor and indoor tasks may be required while performing the work.
