Bio-Techne, and all of its brands, provides tools for researchers to further treat and prevent disease worldwide. **Position Summary:** The responsibilities of this position are to perform ELISA assays to check for quality performance of product, maintain accurate documentation of results, and maintain assay databases. This position will perform quality control testing of Quantikine ELISAs, Luminex assays, IVD kits, and related product lines. Formulate solutions for production and raw material testing as needed. Perform raw material qualification testing as needed. Calculate data and compile results efficiently. Troubleshoot assay problems and collaborate with others. Assist in transfer of new products from Development. Perform instrument maintenance and general lab duties as needed. **Key Responsibilities:** + Perform ELISA assays according to procedures in order to check in-process and final product for quality performance. + Reduce and evaluate data from assays; record data on proper documents. + Formulate reagents needed for testing according to existing SOP documents. + Maintain and enter assay data into assay databases. + Calibrate equipment according to schedule and keep updated records of calibrations. + Assist in validations by organizing materials, performing assays, keeping data records, and reporting results. + Carry out troubleshooting activities under supervision. + Perform raw material qualification testing as needed. + Test/inspect incoming raw materials for compliance to specifications. + Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook and follows guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance with the job. + Perform additional duties as assigned. **Education and Experience:** + Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience. + Or, Master’s degree in a related field with up to 2 years of relevant experience. + Experience in clinical laboratory or quality control systems with a thorough knowledge of good manufacturing practices is preferred. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required including computer entry and typing skills + Must be able to work in a fast-faced environment where you will be required to follow written SOPs, plan, multi-task, and prioritize your own work to meet various deadlines in an efficient manner + Must have good verbal and written communication skills, especially across different groups and sites + Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, pipetting proficiency, and high level of accuracy + Must work well independently and in a team-environment including having the ability to collaborate across different groups Why Join Bio-Techne: + We offer competitive salaries along with extensive medical, vision, and dental plans for you and your family starting on day one! + We invest in our employees’ financial futures through 401k matching and an employee stock purchase plan. + We help our employees develop their careers through mentorship, promotional opportunities, training and development, internship programs, and more. + We offer employee resource groups, volunteer paid time off, employee events, and charity drives to build a culture of caring and belonging. + We foster a culture of empowerment and innovation, where employees feel valued and encouraged to bring their new ideas to the table.
