Advanced Practice Provider - Hospitalist - 7 on/7 off

Crouse’s Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team is a multi-disciplinary group of Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) that provides care to patients through various services including anesthesia/pre-admission testing, cardiology, diabetes, gastroenterology, general surgery, hospitalist, nephrology, neurosciences, orthopedics and palliative medicine in collaboration with an attending physician. The APP team is hiring a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Salary: Up to $152,360/year
Schedule: 7am to 7:30pm - seven days on, seven days off.
Responsibilities:
The Hospitalist APP will practice in collaboration with the Hospitalist physician group as direct healthcare providers. Responsibilities include working with patients and families to coordinate the delivery of care throughout the hospitalization. This is done by assessing, diagnosing, treating, educating and consulting through regular and/or crisis intervention. The Hospitalist NP/PA is responsible for completing Admissions, Discharges, Inpatient Consultations and addressing floor calls for the Hospitalist service.
Job requirements:
+ If being hired as a Nurse Practitioner:
+ Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
+ Currently licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Adult or Family Practice in New York State.
+ Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
+ Minimum of two (2) years of experience in acute care nursing.
+ If being hired as a Physician Assistant:
+ Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
+ Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at the time of hire of within two (2) weeks after hire.
+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required at the time of hire or within three (3) months after hire.
+ AHA Stroke Certification part A required within one (1) month of employment; part B required within six (6) months of hire date.
