Advanced Practice Nurse (ARN)

Summary:

Pyramid Healthcare’s Detox and Residential Treatment Center in Hammonton, NJ provides a trauma-informed, person-centered treatment model for men and women in search of meaningful, long-term recovery. In addition to evidence-based treatment, clients participate in scheduled groups, individual counseling and a variety of elective groups that support their transition to a sober lifestyle in an expansive setting. Pyramid Healthcare’s detox program ensures a safe, medically-supervised withdrawal from alcohol and other substances in a comfortable, non-hospital setting. Our adult residential rehab program provides a variable length of stay based on personalized, clinically-driven treatment plans.

Shift: 

Full Time:

8:00am - 6:00pm or 7:00am - 5:00pm, working 4 ten-hour shifts, including weekends.

Part Time Options:

32 hours

Friday, Saturday, Sunday

OR

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday

24 hours

Saturday and Sunday

Or

Sunday and Monday

Responsibilities:

General medical, Family practice, and some psych experience to provide coverage as needed. 

Include doing history and physicals, reviewing labs, monitoring blood levels, sick call, and preparing discharges (physician orders, scripts if there is prescriptive authority). Provides support and resources to the adult residential program and detox as needed.  Coordination with clinical staff and the primary care physician when appropriate. Working with the nursing staff to make sure the medications are cost effective for the client after discharge and completing prior authorization requests for medications. Responsibility to coordinate and complete the peer review process. Coordination with the collaborating psychiatrist for medication and treatment of the client. Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Addiction Medicine and/or family practice medicine Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques. Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, Office of Mental Health, DDAP) strong background in Psychiatric or D&A and Co-Occurring Disorders, knowledge of HIPPA laws, state licensing regulations, trainings as required. Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
