Job Purpose BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Advanced Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer. The Advanced Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer will work as part of a team developing next generation power devices, and this role will be responsible for supporting mechanical design, documentation, and testing for new and current hardware releases. Key Responsibilities + Design responsibilities will range from study and conceptual work on advanced thermal and packaging solutions for automotive power devices + Create and release documentation supporting power device builds. + Work with global suppliers to support current and new hardware + Use analytical CAE tools (Ansys, Unigraphics NX) for thermal, vibration, & fluid flow analysis + Work with the electrical design and manufacturing teams to design the best power device solutions to meet or exceed customer requirements + Can work independently to drive products through the design phase and into production What We’re Looking For + BSME or BSMET with a preference for Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field + 8+ years of experience in electronics packaging or 6+ years of experience with a Graduate degree + Basic ME CAD skills – preferably experience with Siemens Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter PLM + GD&T and drawing generation skills are required + Experience with FEA tools including Ansys, etc. + Strong mechanical hardware design and analytical skills with a passion for creating innovative compact and thermally efficient systems + Experience in automotive component reliability, failure analysis and structured problem-solving techniques is an asset + Experience with typical power device manufacturing processes, plastic design, metallic stamping design, and design for manufacturing and assembly is a plus + Excellent oral and written communication skills are required + Strong interpersonal skills required + Ability to travel 10% both domestically and internationally What We Offer + Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance + Dental and Vision Insurance + Retirement Savings Plan (401k) + Life Insurance + Paid Parental Leave + Adoption & IVF Assistance + Company Paid Holidays + Company Paid Vacation + Tuition Assistance + Onsite Wellness Center with Nurse Practitioner + Hybrid Work Environment What We Believe + Inclusion - We value diversity in people, ideas, and experiences. + Integrity - We believe in transparency, authenticity, and depend on each other to deliver what we promise. + Excellence - We contribute to our developments by seeking knowledge and sharing information. + Responsibility - We care about our local communities and the global environment. + Collaboration - We are one BorgWarner.
