You will report directly to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location.

\n

 

\n

You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will support the production of Honeywell’s aerospace products, with responsibility for manufacturing processes, yield, and continuous improvement. You will also influence and support the development of Honeywell's next generation of aerospace products from concept through the start of production, with an emphasis on producibility and cost, yield, and schedule execution. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who support new and current product engineering and the optimization of the manufacturing processes, and may mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

\n\nDetermine and development manufacturing processes\nProcure and set up production equipment\nWrite work instructions\nSet up and manage processes in ERP system\nMonitor and improve manufacturing yield\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are producible\nIncorporate new manufacturing processes into the design, such as automation and alternate manufacturing techniques\nSupport production teams\nDesign/develop manufacturing tools, jigs and fixtures\nConduct Root Cause Corrective Analysis\nPrepare or update other reports and documentation\nUse analytical tools and theories\nPlan, lead and execute projects\nIssue identification and analysis\nIdentify areas for improvement\nDevelop new techniques, processes, and analytical tools\n\n

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and extended Secret Clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering\n5 + years of manufacturing engineering experience\nEligible for Secret Clearance\n\n

\n\nSignificant relevant (electronics assembly) manufacturing engineering experience\nAerospace industry experience\nKnowledge of SAP or similar ERP software\nAutocad, Creo, or Solidworks knowledge\nSix Sigma Greenbelt/DFSS certified\nSignificant knowledge of aerospace standards and specifications\nExpert Computer literacy\nAbility to focus on important information and identify key details\nApplication of advanced engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes\nIndividuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision\nWillingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done.\n\n
