Role Overview:
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the Aerospace industry. This role is essential in driving the efficiency and precision of manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment. As a key team member, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality standards and resolve complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret part drawings and aviation-related specifications.
Develop and create manufacturing work instructions to ensure clear production processes.
Work with BOM (Bill of Materials) structures to ensure part and assembly accuracy.
Provide tool and fixture design recommendations to improve manufacturing processes.
Perform project management tasks, ensuring all projects are completed within the set timeline and budget.
Identify failure modes and conduct Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) to improve quality.
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure part conformity.
Collaborate with internal and external suppliers and customers to improve the efficiency of operations.
Perform time studies to evaluate manufacturing and assembly operations and recommend improvements.
Utilize SAP ERP system for manufacturing operations (preferred).
Assist in capital project identification and work with the purchasing team to complete projects.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred).
Strong knowledge of part and assembly drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Projects).
Experience in tool and fixture design.
Familiar with BOM structures and manufacturing work instructions.
Strong understanding of failure modes and RCCA.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with time studies and manufacturing operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP ERP system.
Familiar with APQP functions (Process Map, Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA & PFEP).
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification (preferred).
Experience with capital project management and working with purchasing teams.

Pay Details: $24.66 to $36.96 per hour
