As an Advanced\nSoftware Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a part of the Integrated\nFlight Systems group, developing and maintaining software solutions for\nAvionics systems. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional\nteams, implementing software designs, and ensuring the quality and performance\nof software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Our team develops and designs software solutions for MAU (Modular Avionics Unit) systems. The MAU (Modular Avionics Unit) Core software development pertains to embedded software development and working with software components that closely interacts with the Honeywell Epic/Apex ® Avionics Module hardware, and many of the software components run on top of the Deos ™ Operating Systems.

Design, develop, and test embedded software applications using industry best practicesResponsible for updating\n existing MAU (Modular Avionics Unit) Core / Primus ® Epic Platforms\n Software components and developing new platforms software functionalities.Collaborate with\n cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize critical software\n componentsParticipate in code reviews\n to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standardsTroubleshoot and resolve\n complex software issuesCollaborate with stakeholders\n to ensure software meets customer needs and requirementsThe software development\n process includes utilizing Software Configuration Management Tools and\n supporting Software Quality practices and follows DO-178B Design Assurance\n Level A process.Supporting Verification and\n Validation (V&V) and reviewing the V&V Docs (Traceability\n Document, Test Cases and Procedure Document, Software Verification Report)Stay updated with emerging\n technologies and industry trends in software engineering

YOU MUST HAVE

\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited\ninstitution in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Software\nEngineering, or a related field4+ years of\nexperience in Embedded Software development and integration using programming\nlanguages (such as C++, Java, Python)Strong\nunderstanding of software development principles and methodologies\n

\nMaster's degree in\nComputer Science, Software Engineering, or a related fieldFamiliarity with\nAgile software development methodologiesExcellent\nproblem-solving and analytical skillsExperience with\nsoftware testing and debugging techniquesExperience in any of\nthe following is of value:Experience\nwith DO-178B Level A software development processes.Experience\nusing and interfacing with the Deos Operating SystemExperience\nwith aerospace software development and/or Avionics system knowledge.Knowledge of safety-critical\n software development practices\n
