We are developing a Battery Energy Storage System, this involves a high level of multidisciplinary engineering coming together and integrating a product based on the cell chemistry, its thermal management, choice of the hardware for controls, integrate through firmware and software layers and ultimately manage the flow of electrical energy through high voltage systems. The role involves a 360-degree system architecture lookout, defining the interfaces between Battery, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls and Safety systems. The individual is expected to be ready to explore, guide and drive solutioning of the challenges involved in such an integration.

The ideal candidate has track-record of successfully integrating the System Hardware, configuring Energy Controls, Utility and C&I Interface. Exceptional communication skills will help you working with System Architect, Hardware/Electrical Engineers and Software Engineers to ensure successful system integration, in our world-wide, customer-oriented, expanding team.

Technical skill & Expertise

·       A Masters / Bachelor’s graduate in areas of Electrical Engineering. Good knowledge in renewables & market trends

·       8+ years of experience on high voltage applications/products. Have a good appreciation to industrial control systems & safety products.

·       Should have good Understanding the latest software and Hardware Engineering principles and practices, such as methods and challenges of integration.

·       Should have expertise in defining integration strategies and methods and then planning them in accordance with established deadlines and time schedules

·       Hands on Experience in Creating and providing technical documentation that explains upcoming or existing integrations

·       Should be able to extend the knowledge to Battery Energy storage systems (BESS) design

·       Experienced in working in an environment of multi-disciplinary systems development, a mix of Electrical, Power electronics, Mechanical, Civil, Controls, safety, software & logic components. Be part of a dynamic team and liase with surrounding functions to develop a final Battery Energy storage solution product

·       Work with simulation experts and drive decision making based on analytical/simulation tools

·       Able to understand & develop Single Line Diagram for Power Distribution systems, Schematic drawing for LV/MV switchgear panels & interconnection drawings

·       Hands on experience in installation & commissioning of large-scale systems. Exposure to Battery energy storage system, Li Ion batteries, Solar inverters, Power conversion systems will be added advantage

·       Should have hands on experience of working in LV & MV AC system and 1000V DC systems with sound knowledge on electrical safety

·       Should be able to read Cable routing, cable trench & Tray Layout Drawings, Earthing Layout drawings, Illumination Distribution Layouts, Lightning Protection Layouts.

·       Review the Customer Design drawings of Products like large transformer, VFD, inverters, communication architecture, etc.

·       Understand detail engineering drawings Control circuit diagrams, Panel internal arrangements.
