Lockheed Martin seeks a Senior Manager of the In-space Infrastructure Technology Portfolio, including Nuclear Power and Propulsion, Emerging Markets, and Enabling Technologies. The position is in Denver, Colorado.
The selected candidate will:
• Serve as a Space Infrastructure thought leader; contributing to Lockheed Martin’s vision and strategy and helping to shape NASA’s policies and acquisitions.
• Serve as the Space Infrastructure Internal Research and Development (IRAD) leader; guiding the creation of strategic plans and technology roadmaps, developing business cases and advocating for investment, overseeing the execution of technology maturation projects, and delivering discriminating capabilities and intellectual property artifacts
• Serve as the functional manager and integrator for the Space Infrastructure organization that consists of multidisciplinary engineers, technologists, and project managers. The candidate will attract, develop / mentor, and retain a diverse workforce while cultivating an inclusive work environment
• Support new business pursuits; staffing and leading technical proposal teams to capture concept study and CRAD contracts
• Establish a broad network of customer and LM enterprise contacts, foster partnerships, and serve as a public representative of LM’s space emerging technology product area to promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin cultivates an inclusive work environment that inspires differences and big-picture thinking.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Engineering and/or combination of related technical skills years of experience
• Program Management experience with managing development programs or projects, delivering on performance, cost, and/or schedule commitments
• Experience building effective long-term relationships with employees, customers, technology partners, and suppliers.
• Demonstrated public speaking and advocacy skills
Desired Skills:
• Masters Degree in engineering or related discipline
• Experience with human space flight or aeronautic standards, requirements, mission design, system design, safety, human factors, test, and operations
• Experience developing long range business strategic objectives, tactics, and investment portfolios
• Experience managing multidisciplinary systems engineering, design, and analysis teams
• Experience in proposal preparation and negotiation; experience working with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements, Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Deliverables, Payment Milestone & Cash Flow, Intellectual Property, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), and
subcontracts
• Experience planning and estimating technology development projects
• Established relationship with NASA and/or Department of Defense research agencies
• Demonstrated customer focus by learning and understanding customer's mission, needs, and perspectives
• Full Spectrum Leadership skills and behaviors
• Experience in leading through vision and values and in fostering innovation
• Experience in building and energizing high performance teams and promoting an inclusive work environment
• Experience with space systems standards, requirements, system design, safety, test, and operations
• Experience with Nuclear, Space power, Landers, In-Situ-Resource Utilization, In-space Manufacturing and Assembly Technologies

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $140,400 - $269,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
