We are recruiting for motivated qualified social workers to join our busy team. This role is with one of the UK’s highest performing local authorities, serving as one of the best places to live and work in.
 
For this role, you must have experience in a similar position in Adult Services; you must also be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
 
This is a position in the Hospital Discharge and Assessment Team, based in Gloucester
 
The successful candidate will be expected on site daily, so being local to Shepton Mallet or at least able to commute easily throughout the week is imperative.
 
We are looking for a locum social worker to travel county wide and could be covering acutes duty & Pathway 2 beds so need hospital experience and also skills to manage safeguarding enquires & complex case work.

Successful Social Workers must be able to listen hard to the people of Gloucestershire, to understand what really matters and to connect them to resources that help them continue with their chosen life, either with support or independently. You will also be working with individuals to help them to regain control of their lives in a crisis.

to be a Social Worker registered with Social Work England with a completed ASYE year or equivalent demonstrable experience in a statutory social work settinghave experience working within Adult Social Care, including working in a multi-agency and court environmenthave knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to Adult Social Workhold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car (exceptions may apply under the Equality Act)
