Job Description:

The University of Florida is seeking an Admissions Officer to join the Office of Admissions in supporting our mission to recruit, enroll, and retain a community of leaders and thinkers who will contribute to the state of Florida and the nation. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver campus tours, ensuring a high-quality experience for all visitors, and assist with various admissions-related tasks.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Campus Tour Coordination 

Design and coordinate individual or group campus tours for specific audiences. Ensure each group receives a personalized and meaningful experience. Work with campus offices to schedule visits, prepare agendas, and operate a state vehicle. Provide a consistent, high-quality tour experience.

Welcome Center Operations

Assist with the recruitment, training, and retention of student workers and tour guides. Assist with Welcome Center operations, including planning, coordinating, and executing all campus tours and information sessions.

Admissions Counseling and Application Review

Provide general admissions counseling and freshman holistic application review. Advise departments and applicants via phone, email, and in person about additional credentials such as transcripts, test scores, application fees, and supporting documents.

Additional Duties

Deliver admissions presentations to campus visitors as needed. Assist with special projects or support other areas within the Office of Admissions, which may include occasional out-of-town travel. Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

 

Expected Salary:

$47,500 annually

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.

Valid Driver License is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to present in front of a large audience Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and communicate across a variety of stakeholders both within Enrollment Management and campus-wide Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving and attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Special Instructions to Applicants:
