Student Assistant
Job Description:The University of Florida College of Medicine (UFCOM) Office of Educational Affairs is seeking a part-time Admissions Office Assistant. This role requires a strong front office presence, particularly on Fridays (8 AM – 2 PM) and during special events.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Serve as a front office presence for UFCOM Admissions, ensuring professional and welcoming interactions (Fridays required, 8 AM – 2 PM).
Redirect phone calls to the appropriate departments outside of UFCOM Admissions.
Assist with event setup and takedown:
Move tables, prep beverages and snacks, assist with catering orders
Transport materials for meetings, and organize event supplies post-event
Assemble acceptance gifts and prepare acceptance letters for mailing.
Mail pre-interview day packets and manage incoming office mail, forwarding as necessary.
Update student boards by cutting photocards and reflecting changes in program status.
Perform general clerical duties as needed.
Expected Salary:$15 - $18 per hour; commensurate with experience
Minimum Requirements:This position is open to all UF degree-seeking students who are eligible to work on campus, registered at least half time*, and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
*If you were registered at least half-time in the Spring and are registered for at least half-time in the Fall, you do not have to be registered for courses this summer to be eligible.
