Administrator, Health Policy Institute

The administrator will provide administrative and project management support to the Health Policy Institute and its director, as well as the various research projects under the Institute’s direction. The individual will manage and prioritize daily work assignments related to the administrative, academic, and research activities. The individual will be the primary support in scheduling meetings, managing the Director’s calendar and travel, providing support during meetings and events, recording and distributing meeting notes, and arranging special events. Individual will receive and coordinate all inquiries, internal and external, received by the institute, by phone or email. Individual will be expected to perform detailed tasks, make independent decisions, and demonstrate high standards of professionalism.

Individual also supports interdisciplinary grants and programs administered by the Institute, helping with project management on new and existing grants. The incumbent will assist in training and onboarding of research faculty, staff, and students. Individual will assist with grant applications, literature reviews, and manuscript preparation. The incumbent will work with the Institute’s Manager of Business Administration to assist with budget preparation, purchasing, and overall mindfulness of study budgets and expenditures, specifically as it relates to sponsor-requirements. Individual will coordinate collaboration with internal and external partners; communicate effectively with study participants and community partners and identify and coordinate community engagement opportunities.

This position requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels inside of and outside the University.
