Administrator, AmeriCorp Senior Program (S2)

Summary

The Administrator, AmeriCorp Senior Program is responsible for providing support of the Kentucky Foster Grandparent Program, a senior volunteer program centered around early education.  Recruitment of volunteers in local communities in a primary responsibility of the this role.  Other responsibilities include support of volunteer training and recognition events through the coordination of events, completing purchase orders for materials and liaising between volunteers and Save the Children staff.   

For 25 years, AmeriCorps—through its programs: AmeriCorps Seniors, AmeriCorps, and Volunteer Generation Fund (VGF)—has helped to engage millions of citizens in meeting community and national challenges through service and volunteer action. AmeriCorps provides grants to national and local nonprofits, schools, government agencies, faith-based and other community organizations and other groups committed to strengthening their communities through volunteering. Continuation of this position is contingent upon annual grant renewals.

 

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Federal Grant Management Support (40%) Provide documentation as requested to Lead Associate, AmeriCorp Senior Program for quarterly and annual reporting. Correspond with community partners to share guidelines for volunteer placements. Assist Lead Associate in tracking and gathering data required to meet federal guidelines. Create reference document binders with current guidelines. Store records and documentation per federal grant requirements. Program Implementation (60%) Provide support and technical assistance to senior volunteers to carry out programmatic activities. Represent the program in communities through presentations, affiliations, and participation in meetings. Distribute, review and collect volunteer forms. Collect monthly timesheets from volunteers for stipend, travel and meal payments. Recruit candidates to ensure successful and productive volunteer assignments. Support volunteer trainings and events

 

Required Qualifications

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, no additional years of experience required Professional proficiency in MS Office suite Professional proficiency in spoken and written English Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong organizational skills Event coordination experience

 

Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location: 

Geo 1 - NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target hourly pay for this position is $22.07 – $24.66  Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target hourly pay for this position is $20.02 – $22.38   Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target hourly pay for this position is $17.98 – $20.10 

The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US, salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here). Employee may be eligible for an incentive program.
