Student Assistant – Clerical & Admin
Job Description:The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is seeking a Student Assistant to assist with a document formatting and tracking project. This temporary position requires proficiency in MS Word and Excel to modify documents, create form-like formats, and track distribution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently. This project must be completed by mid-April 2025. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Format and refine documents in MS Word, ensuring they are user-friendly and structured as fillable forms. Develop and maintain Excel master lists to accurately track form distribution. Review, proofread, and edit documents for consistency, clarity, and accuracy. Organize digital files efficiently to ensure easy access and retrieval. Work independently to complete assigned tasks while meeting project deadlines. Communicate progress and any challenges to the supervisor as needed. Expected Salary:$15 per hour.
Minimum Requirements:This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS).
Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in MS Word and basic Excel. Strong attention to detail and document editing skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
