The Administrative Services Coordinator I directly supports the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury (ICSCI). This involves, but is not limited to administrative operations, procedures, and clerical functions to ensure efficient and effective operation of the ICSCI.

Responsibilities Perform all administrative duties for the ICSCI Aquatics Medical Director and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to include scheduling meetings and meeting spaces (as directed), making travel arrangements, tracking licensures, completing pertinent membership renewals, renewing professional/medical subscriptions, composing letters/memos/other documents, proofreading documents, distributing mail, and sending/distributing faxes.Provide limited medical support to the ICSCI Medical Team by pulling new patient charts, scanning medical images, and printing prior medical notes.Manage incoming telephone calls. Appropriately direct calls, take messages, and return calls to answer inquires/questions at the direction of the Aquatics Medical Director and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.Review and update the Aquatics Medical Director and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner’s curriculum vitae as necessary and prepare annual faculty evaluation documents.Distribute insurance approvals, denials, and requests for more information to appropriate personnel.Coordinate manuscript/chapter submissions for the ICSCI Nurse Practitioner and Aquatics Medical Director. Ensure proper formatting of manuscripts as required by various journals. Prepare materials for submission including supporting documentation and payment.Support the ICSCI Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Aquatics Medical Director by coordinating, implementing, and finalizing presentations/lectures for various annual conferences. Coordinate necessary research items (articles, books etc.) utilizing Internet searches, the Welch Library, PubMed, etc.Coordinate and submit reimbursements and check requisition(s) on behalf of the ICSCI Clinical Director and Medical Director of Aquatics.Coordinate and submit reimbursements for all ICSCI therapists under the direction of the ICSCI Manager of Clinical Training and Education.Prepare and plan special departmental projects or events. Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required.Associates Degree or BA in Business, Secretarial Science, or the equivalent of education preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of three years of administrative support or other relevant experience required.Experience in a healthcare, clinical setting is preferred. Benefits
