Administrative Field Assistant

Position Description:

Mathematica applies expertise at the intersection of data, methods, policy, and practice to improve well-being around the world. We collaborate closely with public-and private-sector partners to translate big questions into deep insights that improve programs, refine strategies, and enhance understanding using data science and analytics. Our work yields actionable information to guide decisions in wide-ranging policy areas, from health, education, early childhood, and family support to nutrition, employment, disability, and international development.

We are currently hiring part-time Administrative Field Assistants who will work out of our Princeton, NJ office location to support our research staff working remotely in the field. As an Administrative Field Assistant, you will assist with survey-related tasks for a variety of national public policy studies. This position will work closely with a team of survey professionals to support in-person data collection.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to data collection staff such as assistance with labeling of documents and compiling detailed mailingsPrepare and ship materials and supplies via FedExMake comprehensive travel arrangements including air travel, car rental, and hotel bookings via Mathematica’s travel agencyTrack travel expenses, project materials, incentives, and equipmentAssist field staff with timesheets and expense reportsProvide technical support to data collection staff and troubleshoot technical issues

Position Requirements:

Excellent computer skills—MS Office Suite and database experience requiredKnowledge of group travel arrangements a plusExceptional oral and written communication skillsSolid organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and function as part of a teamStrong work ethic and a commitment to reliability and high-quality productivity1 - 2 years prior clerical or administrative experience preferredCandidates must be available to work up to 40 hours per week between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:00 pm EST (Monday through Friday)

We offer an hourly pay rate of $17.45 with a potential for benefits and paid time off.
