**Job Description**
The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for administrative and office service activities including leave of absence issues, human resources issues, outlook related activities, unemployment application reviews, and record keeping and retention.

+ Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of applicable experience and education
**Experience Requirements**
+ 5 years related administrative or business experience.
+ Knowledge of New York City, New York State and Federal leave of absence laws (FMLA, NYPFL, NYSSA), Disability, etc.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access, etc.) or similar software.
+ Excellent communications skills.
+ Ability to manage several issues at the same time.

**Responsibilities**
+ Communicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules. Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.
+ Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employee’s initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.
+ Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work; relays communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason.
+ Answers basic questions from managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers’ compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits.
+ Oversees the administrative process of return-to-work for employees returning from extended FMLA, workers’ compensation, or other leave(s).
+ Facilitates other leave requests, which may include accommodation requests under the ADA.
+ Administers other company time-off programs as assigned in accordance with internal policy and applicable laws.
+ Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and documentation of best practices.
+ Answers inquiries regarding applicants for Unemployment Insurance by accessing employee history and fulfilling IUI requests.
+ Preserves confidentiality of employee medical documentation and files.
+ Assists the Executive Assistant in the planning and logistical arrangements of Outlook Calendar entries and meetings for the members of the Office of Labor and Employee Relations.
+ Coordinates administrative, secretarial and/or general office support coverage.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.

**Compensation Statement**
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526.72 - $74250 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
