Learn more about why you want to be here! **PURPOSE OF THE JOB** The purpose of this job is to provide administrative support to the assigned department which may include Worker’s Compensation Underwriting, Risk Management, etc. while utilizing technical knowledge and analytical skills. This position exists to promote effective and efficient business operations. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Develops documentation that supports company procedures and operations. + Prepares and updates reports in alignment with company standards and outside agency requirements. + Updates manuals and other documentation of a technical nature used in managing business operations. + Communicates updates to manuals and ensures appropriate version control is in place. + Creates and maintains department rosters, org charts, user lists, and other documentation necessary for business operations. + Creates complex cross reference documents for the business. + Ensures that reference documents are always current. Partners with IT and Line of Business (LOB) technical expert to maintain and update business systems content. + Updates, purges, and archives information maintained within business systems to ensure accurate and current data is available. + Gathers and maintains content information and documentation used in setting up business systems. + Creates test plans and conducts user experience testing for technology systems used in conducting the business. + Provides testing reports and feedback and ensures system updates are successfully deployed to the users. + Troubleshoots issues in partnership with IT and LOB technical experts. + Maintains Line of Business/Department presence on iPortal, ensuring information is current and background files are organized on the server. Coordinates legal compliance affairs + Assists with responding to legal compliance requests, such as subpoenas, fines, and state requests. + Communicates compliance items and requirements to appropriate departments, gathers and tracks responses and, where applicable, provides reports, generates data for responses and/or initiates payment of fines. + Receives department/LOB subpoenas and determines the appropriate level to handle the response. + Coordinates with Legal as needed for escalated issues. + Provides periodical analyses of compliance issues and proposes actions to reduce violations. Provides other administrative support to facilitate LOB/department operations. + Tracks and processes accounts payable and receivable and coordinates the payment of financial obligations specific to the line of business/department. + Calculates payment amounts, requests checks, and initiates purchase orders in Zycus system. + Supports ad hoc projects and programs as requested by leadership team. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This role does not have supervisory responsibilities. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate’s degree from two-year college in Business Administration preferred. Minimum 2 – 4 years of office related experience, preferably in the insurance industry in underwriting or risk management. **CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS** None required. **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS** Working knowledge of Workers’ Compensation insurance industry, underwriting principles and technology, required. Knowledge of risk management principles a plus. Demonstrated competence in using underwriting systems, Microsoft Office Suite – particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** Office environment – no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands and employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear. **WORK ENVIRONMENT** This position operates in an office environment and requires the frequent use of a computer, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment. **We are currently not offering employment sponsorship for this opportunity** \#LI-NT1 #LI-Hybrid The current range for this position is $25.91 - $40.86 This range is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
