Administrative Assistant - Womens Care

Under the direction of the Manager, the Administrative Assistant supports the department and management staff through varied administrative functions requiring confidentiality, independent judgment and actions. This position maintains the cadence between back office and front office activities, monitors productivity and performance standards ensuring department achieves its overall quality and financial goals. Effectively communicates patient financial requirements as needed to physicians, nurses, and other internal and external partners. Duties include but are not limited to the effective and efficient processing of patient, provider, and staff flow; identify and resolve issues that threaten billing and reimbursement. Schedules meetings; provides support to departmental projects/activities; prepares reports and presentation materials; and performs administrative support functions, including but not limited to providing back up for registration, PAC scheduling, surgery scheduling, referral coordination, etc., in order to maximize efficiency and financial integrity of the FQHC department.     Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88   Qualifications Education: Requires a high school diploma or GED.  Associate's degree in business-related courses preferred. Experience: Must have a minium of one (1) year of progressively responsible Administrative Assistant or similar experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.  Prefer experience in a clinic setting. Certification/Licensure: Ambulatory Clinics: Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for fingerprint clearance card. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prefer knowledge of the following registration systems: Epic, Star, PHS, Medifax, Payment Tech, the Vine, PACS, other Practice Management Systems and ABN s.  Must have ability to work with culturally diverse people. Requires excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and customer service skills. Requires the ability to operate a computer in a windows environment. Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
