JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our Wire Shop team in Millington, MD. This role is critical in coordinating schedules, managing documentation, maintaining personnel and production records, and ensuring effective communication across departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, demonstrates strong organizational skills, and brings a flexible, solutions-focused mindset to the team. This role will be located on the production floor, not in a typical office setting. Please be aware that it requires proper PPE daily. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR + High school diploma or GED required. + 1 to 2 years of administrative or manufacturing support experience preferred. + Familiarity with manufacturing environments, safety protocols, or production scheduling a plus. + Able to lift to 20 lbs. occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently. + Experience using computers, telephones, and office equipment. + Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to shop floor activities. + Must be comfortable wearing PPE (e.g., safety glasses, steel-toe shoes) while in production areas. WHAT YOU’LL DO + Answers phones and communicates with internal teams and support departments; routes messages and provides timely responses. + Maintains organized paper and digital filing systems for production records, material requisitions, and work orders. + Prepares and distributes daily, weekly, and monthly reports (e.g., production logs, attendance, safety reports). + Opens, sorts, and routes incoming mail or production documentation; drafts or replies to routine correspondence. + Orders and tracks office supplies and PPE inventory for the wire shop.
