Johnson Service Group (JSG), a nationally recognized staffing agency, is assisting our global manufacturing client in finding an Administrative Assistant near Orlando, Florida. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to their logistics team.
Responsibilities: Generate activity reports for Transportation – Weekly, Monthly and Annual activities. Request, receive, analyze, and dispute vendor billing invoices for accuracy. Auditing of freight bills against contract rates and quoted services. Follow up on payments status biweekly on open invoice statements from transportation carriers. Assist transportation team with administrative daily functions – filing shipment documents, scanning shipment related documents, tracking shipments, update shipments status in the SharePoint Transportation Log, identify serial numbers on FTZ files, etc. File and maintain all required documentation as per government record keeping requirements. Compose correspondence and other communications related to accounts payable items. Protect confidential information.
Requirements: Associate’s degree preferred 1+ year experience working in the logistics/transportation industry. 1+ year experience using Microsoft Excel.
Additional Information: Contract position for a minimum of one year with the intention of extension or full time conversion. This position will be part time, Monday - Friday but could require as many as 38 hours per week. Health benefits are available after 30 days of contract employment as well as 401k access.
