Role description:
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Plant Human Resources and Leadership team. This position maintains office supplies, provides clerical support to Human Resources, and is the primary first contact for the public. The Administrative Assistant plays a central role in Human Resources activity as wel as organizing celebratory events such as employee recognition, service awards, holidays, etc.
Responsibilities:
Performs complex administrative work for the Plant Human Resources Manager and functional heads as needed Assists in front office operations including greeting guests, answering phone calls, daily processing of mail, stocking supplies, and making travel arrangements Organizes employee events as directed including retirement, anniversaries, milestones, and holidays Maintains the strictest confidentiality with company information and employee personal information Orders and distributes employee Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as prescription safety glasses, uniforms, and replacement steel-toed boots. Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilities
Minimum skills / qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Two years of directly related administrative work experience Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Excellent communication, problem-solving, reporting, and organizational skills Detail-oriented and demonstrated dedication to confidentiality
Preferred skills / qualifications:
Basic accounting knowledge and a math background preferred
