Ulland Brothers, Inc., a Civil/Highway-Heavy contractor specializing in aggregates and site development, operates offices in Carlton, Virginia, and Albert Lea, Minnesota. Currently, the company has an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Professional at its Albert Lea office.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Reception: Greet visitors in the lobby and direct them to the proper person/office location. Telephone: Answer incoming phone calls & transfer to the proper person or voicemail. Mail: Sort and distribute office mail. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to operational and office employees, including but not limited to maintaining/ordering office/shop supplies and filing duties. Payroll: Assist with payroll-related verification and data entry. Payroll reporting: Prepare and submit certified payrolls and EEO reporting. Accounts Payable: Vendor invoice verification, related data entry to ERP system, and processing of vendor payments. Accounts Receivable: Enter job invoices and contract change orders into ERP system. Mail invoices for customer sales and reminders for overdue receivables. Deposits: Complete deposit slips, deposit funds to bank using remote services, and enter related cash receipts to ERP system. Insurance: Ensure proper reports are prepared by superintendents for workers’ compensation and vehicle/property damage claims. Ensure claims or related information is reported to the Safety/H.R. Department. Subcontracts: Follow-up on Subcontracts, Certificates of Insurance, and Request to Sublet forms for all projects. Event Planning: Assist in planning special events, such as holiday parties or retirements. Perform additional assignments as requested including ongoing in person or online training
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience – Associate’s degree in accounting or a minimum of three years of relevant experience in the field of accounting.
Skills – Computer skills related to spreadsheet design, word processing, and job costing software or database maintenance; excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and multitask; able to communicate internally and externally with appropriate efficiency and professionalism; ability to apply critical thinking skills for decision-making.
Typical Physical Demands – Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching; requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines; requires normal range of hearing and vision.
Base Salary:
$25 to 30 per hour (commensurate with experience), with additional profit-based bonuses at management’s discretion
