DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will be providing a vast array of administrative support to the Employee Safety Division Manager. In this role, you will function as a Highway Administration Employee Safety training coordinator, budget coordinator, departmental training coordinator liaison, safety portal administrator, and coordinator liaison for COOP. As a safety professional, you will develop and implement employee safety programs as well as provide guidance and support for state-wide employee safety programs in a manner consistent with legal and procedural requirements and department policies. Your duties will require you to travel throughout the commonwealth, as needed, to provide administrative support to Safety Specialists on numerous safety-related matters, as well as other locations for trainings and meetings. This position requires much autonomy and serves in a critical capacity in providing prompt and outstanding customer service and requires that critical deadlines be met. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
