Job Overview:
The Administrative Assistant for Physical Therapy will use clerical and organizational skills to keep the department organized. This position will perform clerical duties such as scheduling patients, patient registration, ordering supplies for the office, and insurance verification.

Required:
High School equivalent with some college preferred,Computer skills in EPIC EMR, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power PointSuccessful completion of site personnel general orientation, successful completion of department specific orientationScheduling Requirements:
Monday Friday 8:00am-4:30pmNo weekends or holidaysEssential Functions:
Manages front desk operations in the rehab services department and performs diversified administrative duties.Communicate in person or by telephone to schedule appointments, receive and direct referrals, clarify diagnoses and give or receive informationCoordinate community cab transportation for outpatient appointments as neededWork with insurance companies to verify coverageEnter authorization and pre-certification information in the registration systemCoordinate appointment changes and cancelationsCompete monthly outpatient re-registrationPrepare daily, weekly and monthly statisticsRoute new orders within the departmentPrepare evaluation forms as neededPerform computer functionsAssist in the orientation of department personnel to clerical responsibilities and computer systemPrepare and/or type other reports and correspondence,Maintain filesHandle, distribute and release outpatient recordsDirect mail and handles correspondencePhotocopy and fax forms, reports and documentsMaintain an adequate inventory of clerical supplies and formsOther Duties:
