Volt is immediately hiring a Facilities Operations Planner and Scheduler in Meriden CT. As a Facilities Operations Planner and Scheduler, you will plan and recommend schedules for both routine and non-routine maintenance of equipment.

\r\n\r\n

Job Duties:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tReview work order requirements with Process Engineering, Facilities Operations and Production Supervisors to determine appropriate timing, ensure availability of people and equipment, and get preliminary approval of scheduling considerations.\r\n\tDevelop daily, weekly, monthly maintenance work schedule based on materials availability, priority of request(s), production considerations, and craftsperson time availability.\r\n\tContinuously communicate with the Facilities Operations Inventory Specialist to ensure all parts are available or ordered for the scheduled work orders.\r\n\tEnter, plan, up-date and close shop work orders in SAMS or SAP for accurate accounting and record keeping.\r\n\tComplete forms and reports relating to planning, scheduling, and completion of work orders to provide appropriate information for Facilities Operations and Production personnel.\r\n\tCollaborate with managers and engineers to review actual versus planned work order reports to ensure effectiveness of planning and scheduling process, and to identify problem areas if any in completing work as planned.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Requirements:

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tHigh School or Trade School Diploma.\r\n\tPlanning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing setting.\r\n\tPossess a high regard for and understanding of Safety practices.\r\n\tAbility to work effectively with people from production, maintenance, suppliers and engineering.\r\n\tStrong organization, time management, and excellent communication skills\r\n\tExperience using the following software. MS Office, CMMS, SAP, or other planning software\r\n\tDisplay and execute a positive, can-do attitude.\r\n\tAbility to work overtime as needed.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $37.00 per hour. Monday – Friday, 7am to 4:30pm

\r\n\r\n

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
