Duties and Responsibilities: Teaching of a specified course according to Astrophysics and Planetary Science Departmental guidelines. Courses taught will be in the Department’s core natural science program and will include duties as either a lecture course instructor or a laboratory instructor. Other duties will include preparing a syllabus, grading course materials, and reporting the final grades. Lab instructors will also be expected to participate in discussions about the updating and improvement of lab exercises. Minimum Qualifications: A master’s degree in Astronomy or a closely related field. Preferred Qualifications: Substantial experience in the field of Astronomy. Previous teaching experience.
