The Acute Care Charge Nurse reports to the Acute Care Nursing Manager and ensures the delivery of professional care to the assigned patient population. The Charge Nurse utilizes the nursing process and continuous quality improvement principles while collaborating with the healthcare team. The Charge Nurse is responsible for supervising all department staff, assigning duties, and ensuring work meets standards for accuracy, organization, and policy compliance, overseeing the department's daily operations, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, providing backup support to the Emergency Department (ED) as needed, and ensuring the highest level of patient care is maintained at all times.

We have 13 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 30 years of relevant experienceCompensation Range:

Qualifications
Education:
Current Registered Nurse License in California Current BLS, ACLS, and PALSExperience:
A minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.One (1) year of leadership experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess typing skills and general computer experience.Possess skills in time management and organization.Must have great interpersonal skills. Possess verbal ability to understand oral and written instructions stated in medical terms and ability to communicate with and exchange information with hospital staff and patientsMust meet physical requirements as stated on job description addendum
