Department Description:
We are a growing team delivering new analytical capabilities and engaging with senior leaders who are excited by the work. The Healthcare Economics Team is a diverse and high-performing group with experience from different parts of KP, and from non-KP health plans and delivery systems. Intern Project(s):
Our work entails healthcare data analysis and interpretation of results for a business audience.
You will be tasked with connecting business unit financial performance with their strategies (spanning care delivery operations, network management, product strategy, etc.).
This role will work closely with senior consultants to facilitate analyses, provide technical support, and assisting in communicating insights.
Projects may include:
- Analyzing membership gain and attrition
- Deep-dives into specific areas of healthcare utilization. The focus could be based in differences in geography, demographics, healthcare conditions, products, etc.
- Variation in healthcare outcomes
- Population Segmentation

+ Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated from an accredited university within the last year.
+ High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Additional Requirements:
+ Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
+ Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 3.0 GPA or above.
+ Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
