About You and This Role:
You will identifies and resolves potential conflicts, constraints, or deviations in the scheduling plan to meet customer, unit, function or business needs. Initial point of contact for carriers (all Modes of Transportation (MOT) - Road, Rail & Marine) to inform them of scheduling plan exceptions. You will Utilizes Material Flow Work Process knowledge to develop and optimize the scheduling plan and proactively resolve any deviations and/or conflicts from the normal shipment process. You will be required to have full proficiency in a range of technical processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. You will work with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight typically only on complex new assignments. You will provide solutions to analytical or scientific problems in situations that are atypical or occur infrequently based on existing precedents or procedures. You will act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.
Responsibilities:
Understands business, site, modal rules, material flow requirements and operational capabilities.Reviews, identifies and resolves constraints and/or restrictions that may impact the ability to fulfill requests.Serves as the initial contact for carrier resolution for all Modes of Transportation (MOTs).Communicates with site logistics contacts and carriers (all MOTs) to inform them of scheduling plan exceptions.Acts as subject matter expert for Material Flow (Site Logistics / Logistics) Work Processes within unit/plant/site.Identify all resources required to successfully, safely, accurately, and efficiently complete work requests.Identify constraints and/or restrictions that may impact the ability to fulfill work requests.Monitor work request completion and take appropriate action.Scheduling: Creates and distributes scheduling plan (plan to include all modes (inbound/outbound/packaging).Verifies that the schedule can be met within the current status of logistics operations.Communicates with appropriate resources, via proper procedures, to coordinate required services within specified timelines.Reviews the scheduling plan for completeness, manage changes, exceptions, and facilitate resolution of issues.Verifies all shipment details for accuracy and completeness.Addresses scheduling exceptions (non-compliances).Gathers, monitors, reviews, and communicates scheduling performance measures within work processes to appropriate partners.Records necessary Diamond/SAP system entries in a timely and efficient manner by completing activities such as:Shipping - allocate product, perform goods issues, printing applicable paperwork, and performing all other related arrival and departure activities.Receipt process - return orders and raw materials.Storing/blending - production orders.SAP Inventory Adjustments: Make any corrections that are needed to batches prior to attaching to orders and shipment, i.e. lack of inventory, missing raw materials.Required Qualifications:
A minimum of associate's degree (technical or administrative or supply chain or logistics) OR 4 or more years Military training/experience. A minimum of 4 years' experience of relevant experience (i.e. in a supply chain or logistics plant environment).Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
