Job Description Summary

 

Responsible for managing all IT regulatory requirements, maintenance of Commission Servers, and Commission Networks, as required by the Agua Caliente Gaming Commission. Manages and conducts the necessary preparations for testing and auditing for the security of the IT Network relative to Gaming Information Compliance. Manages and coordinates ACGC IT projects, reports, and investigations as they relate to the Regulatory Compliance of the Gaming Operations and Gaming Commission functionality. Responsible for management/supervision of ACGC IT Specialist staff while providing a mentorship role for future growth within organization. Reports any weaknesses, vulnerabilities, issues and/or concerns with recommendations directly to the Director of IT and Technical Services.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

 

Ability to write concise and comprehensive reviews of IT procedures Manage and overall support of all ACGC IT Systems and Network (servers, network, phone system, data backups and etc.) Provide ACGC staff with IT assistance during normal business hours and on weekends as required. Strong understanding of MICS, Tribal Compact, Internal Controls and Regulations for Indian Gaming with an emphasis on IT. Must be able to design audit checklists for system review and incorporation into ACGC Regulations Must be able to manage and direct ACGC IT staff for completing and upholding the mission of the gaming commission. Research of industry standards relative to Internet Gaming and current IT practices as they apply to Casino applications. Become familiar with IT and Technical Standards approved and utilized by the Independent Testing Labs. Test applications – new releases and updates- against developer specifications to include regression testing and performance. Review physical and logical security measures of applications and hardware for completeness and compliance with Minimum Internal Control Standards. Review all Internal Controls generated by the IT department for compliance with existing standards. Make informed procedural recommendations to ACGC Management concerning new and existing technology. Perform random audits of document storage. Monitoring and audit of recovery procedures of applications and systems. Periodically review database of IT system documentation (hardware, software, applications, operator manuals) for adequacy. Assist ACGC staff with Technical questions and investigations. Reviews of supporting documentation for in-house developed programs and program changes. Other duties as assigned.

Manage ACGC IT Specialist Staff to ensure proper functionality of ACGC IT Equipment. Manage ACGC IT Equipment Inventory Manage ACGC IT Software Licenses Manage other duties as assigned.
