Accreditation Assistant

Job Summary:

Company: Festival Republic

Location: Farringdon, London and onsite at events

Fixed Term Contract: 3 months (June – August)

Working hours: 10:00-18:00 plus evenings and weekends onsite.

Role Description

The successful applicant will work within a team of eight, to help implement and manage the accreditation systems used across festivals. Full training on the specifics of the role will be given to the correct candidate; however, an understanding of event accreditation systems along with a proven ability to complete basic administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner are both essential.

Requirements, Skills / Knowledge / Experience

Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Outlook.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.Ability to understand and learn new technology and online systems.Excellent written communication skills.

Desired

Understanding of event accreditation structures.Experience in the Festival industry.Experience in a customer-facing role.

You should have the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working to strict deadlines often under pressure.You must be punctual and reliable, with the willingness to work extended hours both in the office and onsite, particularly during our peak period of May-August.You should be able to liaise and communicate clearly, competently, and politely with colleagues, suppliers and members of the public.

Responsibilities

You will help with coordinating the flow of accreditation in and out of the office, i.e. checking stock when it comes from the suppliers, repackaging, and forwarding to the on-site offices, maintaining clear records of where stock is at all times, being aware of when deliveries are arriving and when everything is required at various events.Produce and distribute low-security accreditation in house.Keeping and sharing accurate and up to date records of stock issued to different departments.Proof reading accreditation copyHelping train other members of the team to ensure all processes and procedures are followed correctly. Helping to implement on-site processes for the festival accreditation team.Assisting in setting up and using an online accreditation system, both in advance of the shows as well as on-site.Working at several UK Festivals with the on-site accreditation teams, dealing with staff and public in a polite, helpful, and appropriate manner to reflect the high standards of the festival and this department.Carrying out post-show reports and audits of stock.Ensuring that unused stock is archived / disposed of appropriately and making sure all records up kept up to date.
