The below is a position with ASPEQ Heating Group. ASPEQ Heating Group is a marketplace leader in innovative electric heating solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial markets. With a portfolio that includes baseboard, wall, unit and infrared heaters as well as ceiling fans and air circulators, we create simplified heating solutions for our complex work.

 

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an Accounts Receivables (AR) Manager, you will oversee our accounts receivable functions and ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts. The AR Manager will be responsible for managing the AR team, implementing effective collection strategies, and maintaining accurate records of accounts receivable transactions.

 

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

 

Account Management Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, billing, and collections Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and prioritize collection efforts to reduce delinquency Communicate with customers to resolve billing issues, disputes, and overdue payments. Review and approve credit applications and establish credit limits for customers. Conduct regular credit reviews to assess the creditworthiness of customers and adjust credit terms as necessary.

 

General Accounting Prepare financial reports and safeguard the organization’s assets Analyze and reports accounting transactions to ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance. Conducts the documentation of accounting projects

 

Supervision and Collaboration Supervise and mentor the AR team, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline the accounts receivable process and improve efficiency Work closely with sales and customer service teams to address customer concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies

 

Continuous Improvement Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable management Participate in other duties as assigned that relate to the overall goals of the department or organization

 

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience

6-9 years’ experience in Accounting 1-2 years’ experience in supervising employees Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts receivable and credit management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel. Experience implementing process improvements and driving efficiencies in accounts receivable operations.

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Syteline ERP system experience Manufacturing experience Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to accounts receivable (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) Knowledge of ASC 606 regarding Revenue Recognition, Internal Controls, and SOX requirements.

 

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

 

Travel & Working Environment

Hybrid office environment – 2 days on-site Up to 10% Travel
