Accounts Receivable Clerk
Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in SALINAS, California. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, your role will consist of providing outstanding customer service, managing data entry across multiple accounting systems, and maintaining the utmost confidentiality in handling client, staff, and agency information. Responsibilities: • Ensure outstanding customer service by addressing phone calls and welcoming customers, aiming to provide a positive experience for all stakeholders. • Handle data entry tasks across various accounting systems, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory. • Prepare a variety of financial reports in line with the industry standards and protocols. • Uphold strict confidentiality when handling information related to clients, staff, and the agency. • Utilize various computer programs specific to the position, including standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet functions. • Maintain financial integrity by understanding and applying accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and budgets. • Use QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and activities. • Conduct credit collections and maintain accurate customer credit records. • Apply attention to detail and accuracy to ensure the highest quality of work. • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills in dealing with accounting and financial issues. • Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and management • Demonstrable skills in 10-Key Accounting • Excellent data entry skills with high level of accuracy • Proficiency in spreadsheet software for managing and analyzing data • Experience in Credit Collections, with a focus on minimizing overdue amounts • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively • Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and laws related to financial information Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
